No Dating, Just Sex
Young New Zealand women have given up on dating. Instead, they are getting drunk and cruising around in packs, looking to have sex with men.
After New Zealand women rated as among the world’s most promiscuous, TVNZ Sunday recently conducted an investigative report into the sexual behaviour of New Zealand women. It was revealed that New Zealand women have on average 20 sexual partners, double that of their Australian and UK counterparts.
The results of the TVNZ Sunday investigation indicated that the results shown in the Durex Sexual Well-Being Global Survey were indeed valid. According to Janet McIntyre, the TVNZ Sunday reporter for the investigation, “There’s a new kind of mating ritual – sex is the point of entry into the relationship.”
Apparently if the sex wasn’t good, the young New Zealand women were not prepared to waste their time into developing the relationship. Many of the women interviewed indicated that they felt empowered by having sex and wanted to not only celebrate it, but enjoy having it.
Many of the New Zealand women profiled in the investigation who had experienced a one-night stand had been under the influence of alcohol, describing their encounters as “getting pissed and hooking up”.
What is ironic is that in a survey conducted by a local paper, The Sunday Star-Times, 29 percent of the men surveyed out of 5000 felt they had been pressured into having sex or had sex unwillingly.
One can only wonder if this is something that will spread through other countries and if so, what will be the impact on STDs, marriage rates and pregnancy rates.
