Dating is like a crap shoot for many women.  You toss yourself out there, hoping to ignite a spark, and to not get played.  You think that things are going great but you never get the call for second date.  What happened?

Writers Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo have written a book tellng the real reason why in their book “He’s Just Not That Into You”.  The book was also featured on an Oprah episode and it tells the real reason why men never call women for a second date.

It appears that men are not complex beings and the seldomly send mixed messages.  The authors simply state that if a guy doesn’t ask you out, doesn’t call shortly after the first date, and doesn’t want to come inside with you after a date, he’s just not that into you!

Women tend to tear themselves up over the reasons why men never call.  They make excuses, search for reasons and keep holding onto the hope that maybe, just maybe, the guy will call.  This is purely a defense mechanism that keeps women from being overwhelmed by emotions and perhaps avoiding the realization that it may just be true – he’s just not that into you.

From a man’s perspective, they don’t see it as being such a big deal.  Men don’t want to get caught up in the emotion and drama associated with having to tell the reason behind why he didn’t call or want to go out on a second date.  In avoiding the issue they make it known in their off-beat way that he’s just not that into you.

Women have to realize this fact and remember that guys are not complicated.  There’s no hidden agenda, no meaning to not calling.  He’s just not into you.

When a guy is really into you, take note.  He’s going to bend over to make things go right and he will make an effort.  Women will recognize the obvious.
