Sex with a married man? It’s not that uncommon. In fact, many women whether single or attached find married men irresistable.

The University of Louisville conducted a study that showed many single women engage in what is referred to “mate copying”. This is where one woman believes that if another woman is with a man, or pursuing a man, he must have something that makes him worthwhile.

Why this occurs is not fully understood. It may be deep rooted, brought on by years of conditioning. Maybe it is because these women are addicted to the thrill or that they love the challenge of attracting another woman’s man. Regardless of the reasoning, many women have indicated that sex with a married man is something that is excciting.

There are those women that can handle a no-strings sexual relationship with a married man. However, the danger comes when emotions become involved, and in more cases than not, it’s the man who develops feelings for the woman. Women who actively seek sex with a married man generally know that the relationship has no future but the thoughts of excite them.

Younger women will often pursue older married men. Why?

It’s simple. Some women believe that a married man is more sexually experienced, and that they know how to please a woman. Plus, they are seen as being more emotionally “stable” and “safe”, especially if the woman is not looking for a long term committed relationship.

The perception that married men are “stable” and “safe” shows how logic doesn’t play into this picture. Married men who cheat and have sexual affairs outside the marriage are more likely quite the opposite. Something has to be wrong with the individual or the marriage to drive him to look elsewhere. As for being “safe”, a woman should ask herself how many other women has he been with outside the marriage and what precautions has he taken.

Women are often excited by sex with a married man because it allows them to explore. Many married men want to explore fantasies and are more open when with another woman. It makes the sex more exciting, more passionate and this can be very attractive to the woman. Plus, married men want to make the most of their limited time with their mistress and in doing so they treat the woman extra special.

The majority of relationships that start as sex with a married men go nowhere, regardless of how many times he said he will leave his wife. Women should proceed with caution and realize that a relationshp started from infidelity will probably end in infidelity. Afterall, didn’t the married man cheat on his wife?

Ironically, it is women who look at cheating men in disgust. However, research has shown that most of the relationships are started by women who actively seek out the married man. Yes, both parties have to take some responsibility in this, but it takes two right?

If you are a woman and contemplating having an affair with a married man, think long and hard before you get involved. Sure, sex with a married man may be exciting, but think about the consequences before crossing that line.
